At least one person was killed and several others injured when a wall collapsed during a cultural event in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur on Friday evening.
According to reports, a wall collapsed during a mushaira event in Tanda area of Rampur injuring scores of people. UP Police DIG was also reportedly present at the spot when the incident occurred.
The wall collapse triggered a stampede-like situation. Heavy police deployment was made in the area after locals started protesting after the incident.
Situation was tense but under control in the area till the reports last filtered in.
