A coalition of pro-Biafra agitators on Wednesday passed a vote of no confidence in the five governors of  the South-East geopolitical zone.

In a statement, the  coalition consisting of  the Biafra Independence Organisation, Igbo Revolutionary Movement, Eastern People Renewal, Biafra Clergy Network  and Biafra Security Network said the governors had “failed  woefully in the affairs of Ndigbo.”

They said they   met with some stakeholders in the zone before they took  the decision.

Their statement read in part, “Having waited for South-East governors to commence work on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the palace of the father of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu  and the  non-condemnation of  the third phase of the Operation Python Dance which the Nigerian Army is planning to commence before Christmas in Igboland, we the Coalition of Pro-Biafra Agitators groups hereby withdraw our earlier support  for  South-East governors.”

The groups vowed to stop the governors seeking re-election  from realising their ambitions.

They said, “We have resolved that the governors – Dave Umahi (Ebonyi State), Okezie Ikpeazu  (Abia State)  and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi  (Enugu State) will not return as governors in Igboland again.

“Governors Rochas Okorocha  (Imo State)  and Willie Obiano  (Anambra State)  are colossal failures, cowards and incompetent to be Igbo political leaders.                                                                       “That having consulted widely on political aspirations of our people, we have established that  the South-East governors are completely disconnected with the people on good governance. They are serving the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy. We are ashamed of them.”
