Ponguleti upset over Khammam seat left to TDP

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Monday expressed his displeasure over the allocation of party’s sitting MLA seats to grand alliance partners like TDP.

Referring to news reports that the party leadership had decided to leave Khammam Assembly seat to TDP, Reddy said it was not correct to allocate the seat represented by the Congress party to the grand alliance partner. He also alleged that the party was recommending the names of leaders who have just joined the party for the MLA posts and hoped that Congress president Rahul Gandhi would not tolerate any such candidates.

“I have complete faith in our party president Rahul Gandhi . He would not entertain any leader who was trying to seek the party ticket without serving the party in any manner,” he said.
