Jay Cordell Bott has been a medical director at Revere Health and the chairman of their cancer center.

Dr. Bott has been a medical director at Revere Health, formerly known as the Central Utah Clinic, and the chairman of their cancer center. He has worked with the Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, UT since 1998, the Castleview Hospital in Price, UT since 1984, the Mountain View Hospital in Price, UT since 1983, and the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, UT since 1983. He accepted a fellowship in oncology at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT from 1980 to 1981.

At the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, CA, Dr. Bott was a fellow in oncology and hematology from 1979 to 1980 and 1981 to 1982, a resident from 1976 to 1978, and an intern from 1975 to 1976. He served in the United States Naval Reserve from 1973 to 1984, leaving with the rank of commander. Furthermore, he notably served as a vice president of the Central Utah Clinic and a prior principal investigator at the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project from 1995 to 2004.

For many years, Dr. Bott was the chairman of the hematology and oncology department at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, UT. He enjoys the challenge of his work and considers every day to be the highlight of his career.

Dr. Bott's academic pursuits began at the University of Utah where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry in 1971. He continued his efforts at this institution throughout the duration of his academic career as he earned a Bachelor of Arts in medical biology in 1974 and a Doctor of Medicine in internal medicine through the honors program in 1975. Furthermore, he is certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology.

During his career, Dr. Bott's civic involvement has been extensive. He is a member of the National Republican Committee, a missionary for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1967 to 1969, in addition to teaching Sunday school and performing as an organist. He is also a member of the American Guild of Organists, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. He is a former member of the Southwest Oncology Group and a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

One of Dr. Bott's many achievements was establishing one of the largest foundation Quarter Horse breeding programs in the United States. He also enjoys ranching, hunting, and other outdoor sports in addition to playing classical piano and the organ. Additionally, he was named the Utah Republican Businessman of the Year in 2000 and 2001 and has been recognized in Best Doctors in America for 20 years.

Dr. Bott is a member of the Society of Utah Medical Oncologists, where he was treasurer from 2007 to 2008, vice president from 2008 to 2009, president from 2009 to 2011, and a member of the executive board since 2007. Likewise, he is a member of the Utah County Medical Association, where he was past president, as well as the American Cancer Society, where he was a past president of the Utah Valley chapter.
