IT'S HAPPENING.

A Spice Girls reunion, that is. Yep, the group are putting on some new shows to well and truly spice up our lives.

The last time the gang got together was at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony in London, where they belted out hits on top of London taxis while Boris Johnson and David Cameron danced along like embarrassing uncles at a family wedding.

Fast forward a few years, and the girl power gang proved they were as close as ever in a v friendly Instagram post back in February, giving hope to fans all over that a reunion was on the cards.

Well, now it's most definitely happening. Here's what we know so far:

What is the Spice Girls reunion?

We knew a tour was coming after a new photo of a four-piece Spice Girls consisting of Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell (Horner) was released on social media.

On her morning radio show on Heart FM, Emma was asked by Jamie Theakston about the newspaper reports (The Sun claimed on Monday that a UK summer stadium concert would be taking place in 2019) that tour dates are due to be announced. She confirmed "everything will be announced" in due course, sharing that she's "very excited".

Later on Monday, a new Spice Girls Instagram and Twitter account was set up, @spicegirls, with a mysterious tweet indicating more information would come soon.

Just a couple of hours later, Mel B appeared on Loose Women and confirmed the rumours.

"Yeah we are [getting back together]," she said pretty definitively.

And then, it happened. The Spice Girls dropped a video of Mel B, Mel C, Geri and Emma giving a mock 'Spice News' bulletin announcing a 2019 tour.

The girls have all reacted to the announcement in statements. Emma said: "It's time to spice things up all over again!", Mel B said she's screaming the announcement "from every rooftop". Geri added she is excited to "celebrate girl power with our fans and the next generation" and Mel C revealed: "Reminiscing with the girls about how much fun we had, made me feel like it was the right time to do it all over again!"

Can I get tickets for the Spice Girls reunion?

Tickets first went on sale on Saturday 10 November at 10.30am on both Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.

The tour will be a UK stadium tour and this is where they're going:

  • Saturday 1 June - Manchester Etihad Stadium
  • Monday 3 June - Coventry Ricoh Stadium
  • Thursday 6 June - Sunderland Stadium of Light
  • Saturday 8 June - Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium
  • Monday 10 June - Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium
  • Saturday 15 June - London Wembley Stadium

It's fair to say that demand was super high for the gigs when tickets were first released, so the band immediately announced further dates for their tour which are:

  • Wednesday 29 May - Manchester Etihad Stadium
  • Friday 31 May - Manchester Etihad Stadium
  • Tuesday 4 June - Coventry Ricoh Stadium
  • Thursday 13 June - London Wembley Stadium
  • Friday 14 June - London Wembley Stadium

A new date and city have been added after a majority of the above dates sold out: The tour head to Cardiff's Principality Stadium on 27 May 2019, which is also Bank Holiday Monday - rejoice! Tickets for this date go on sale on Friday 16 November at 9.30am.

Also, Jess Glynne will be the support act!

How much will they be?

In London, Spice Girls tickets will range from £60 to £135, with standing tickets at £75 and the Golden Circle ones priced at £199.

For all the other UK dates, the range will be slightly lower at £55 to £125 with standing seat tickets going for £70 and Golden Circle ones at £185.

Ticketmaster have said that VIP options are available, if you're feeling fancy, starting from £170 in London and £165 at all other venues. All the above prices exclude fees.

Is it all five Spice Girls?

No. The video shows its just Baby Spice, Ginger Spice, Scary Spice and Sporty Spice... no Posh Spice. Mel B, yet again, said on Loose Women Victoria wouldn't be joining but that the door is open for her, should she wish to.

"I'm hoping it's going to change, but it's definitely us four," she told the panellists.

For as long as there's been rumours about a reunion, it's been said Victoria Beckham would not be a part of it because she would instead be focusing on her fashion line. Back in February, she even told Vogue: "I'm not going on tour. The girls aren't going on tour."

Well, now that the tour has been announced, Victoria has said in a statement: "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour. I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!"

Since the announcement, and in spite of Victoria's statement, there continued to be speculation as to whether Victoria would join for at least one of the tour dates. However, at the People's Choice Awards on Sunday 11 November she appeared to double down on the fact that it just won't be the case.

"I hung up my microphone quite some time ago and I get a little bit scared when I get up on stage and see a mic," she said when accepting the Fashion Icon award in Los Angeles.

Well, in that case, an 11-date stadium reunion tour doesn't quite sound like Vicky B's cup of tea, does it?

Despite this, she did then tease the crowd with a Spice Girls lyric and talked about Girl Power!

Oh no, does this mean they've all fallen out?

Well, they all seem to be getting on quite well. There was the aforementioned group Instagram earlier this year and then just two days ago, Victoria shared a photo of herself and Melanie C arm-in-arm on Instagram after she watched her perform at a charity event.

However, just last week, Mel B turned up at Heidi Klum's halloween party dressed as a nineties-era Posh Spice, complete with a male guest dressed as David Beckham. As well as the Posh mask, she was also carrying an axe-type apparatus which said: "NO I AM not GOING ON tour." The fake David Beckham held a sign which said: "Please, please, please do it for the Spice Girls fans."

Hmmm.

Since the announcement, Victoria has also shared a supportive post sending lots of love to her bandmates along with the hashtag #friendshipneverends so it looks like things are all good.
