UP Police sticking fluorescent tapes on a cow
The jawans of Uttar Pradesh Police, these days, are spending their nights on the roads. Interestingly, they are not doing that for nabbing criminals but for searching stray animals including cows.
Whenever the policemen see a group of stray cows, they stop there and stick fluorescent tapes on their necks. They also cover their horns with fluorescent tapes.
This campaign has been launched at the instructions of Siddharth Nagar SP with an aim to prevent road accidents at night. The initiative will not only save the lives of stray animals but human beings as well.
The UP Police took the initiative after the number of road accidents due to stray animals went up in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the SP, these initiatives will help prevent road accidents at night.
