The Utah State University Eastern Theatre Department is ready to present their second production of the school year, It’s a Wonderful Life – A Live Radio Play. This is an American holiday classic that comes to life with approximately 20 students playing characters at a live 1940s radio broadcast.

“So, in the 40s it was pretty common for there to be live radio productions where the television wasn’t necessarily a common means of entertainment and so a radio play is like how we would see it in the theatre but over the radio,” explained Landon Lee who plays the main character. “So George Bailey is the main character; It’s a Wonderful Life follows his life story and all the things that he has done to help his community, his loved ones and people around him. It’s really a neat story about friendship and camaraderie.” The production is adapted by Joe Landry and directed by Dr. Corey Ewan.

The dates of production are November 29, 30, December 1 and 6 through 8 at 7:30 pm at the CIB Peterson Black Box Theatre. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Ticket prices are $12.00 Adults, Senior $9.00, USU Eastern Faculty/Staff $7.00, Students $7.00, USU Eastern Students $3.00 and Children $5.00.

This will be the final production for Fall Semester.
