A 34-year old biker from Kozhikode, Kerala has been missing since Sunday, November 25 after he went on a solo ride to Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts of Karnataka.

On Saturday, Sandeep S, a marketing manager from Kozhikode had left home on his UM Renegade Commando bike registered-KL-18-V-911. The Karnataka police found his bike on Monday, which was parked by the roadside near a river in NR Pura, between Sringeri and Koppa.

Shivamogga police had tracked down Sandeep's location to Jayapura, Koppa after getting an information on the missing person from the Kozhikode police. The police have recovered his wallet and identity cards from the luggage compartment of the bike.

"Sandeep had told us that he would ride to Shivamogga and then to Chikkamagaluru. He left Kozhikode on Saturday morning. We didn't hear from him after that. On Sunday, his family filed a missing person complaint with Kozhikode police," Filsher Chemmadan, a colleague of Sandeep, told TOI.

According to the Koppa police, they did not come across any signs of robbery or attacks, as the bike was neatly parked near the river. Divers have been searching the river. His mobile is switched-off and was located last on Sunday, near Jayapura tower in Koppa.

Sandeep is married to Shiji, a homemaker and has a son who studies in the upper kindergarten.
