YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the TDP government had completely ignored the development of all the 13 districts in the State and the capital region, Amaravati.
He urged the people to question Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for “forgetting his tall promises such as construction of regional airports, food parks, processing units, industrial zones, and educational institutions.”
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy was speaking at a public meeting at Palakonda, the first in the district, during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Migration
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the people of the backward region were being forced to migrate to other places as there was no development locally.
Except for giving wide publicity, the government had done precious little for victims of cyclone Titli, he alleged.
“The total loss is around ₹3,435 crore, but the government released only ₹521 crore. The actual spending is just ₹302 crore. We will take care of all the victims if voted to power in the 2019 elections,” the YSRCP president said.
Earlier, former Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and others explained him the situation of the farmers, workers and other sections of the society. The party leaders hoped that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tour would strengthen the party in the district.
