Regionala Investiciju Banka posts EUR 2.75 mln in nine-month profit

Latvia's Regionala Investiciju Banka earned a profit of EUR 2.75 mln in the first nine months of 2018 which is by 49.6 % lower than in the same period last year, according to the bank's financial statements.

The group’s profit declined by 50% and was EUR 2.673 mln.


The bank's assets totaled EUR 304.451 mln at the end of September this year, which was a decline by 17.1% or EUR 62.96 mln from EUR 367.411 mln at the end of 2017.


The loan portfolio was worth EUR 118.472 mln at the end of September this year, of which loans worth EUR 50.444 mln were overdue. Special provisions created by the bank stood at EUR 25.424 mln at the end of September.


Capital and reserves of Regionala Investiciju Banka amounted to EUR 36.25 mln as on September 30, 2018, down by 7.8% from late 2017. The bank’s liquidity ratio was 73.8%.

In the first nine months of 2017, the bank reported a profit of EUR 5.452 mln.


At the end of June 2018, Regionala Investiciju Banka was the 10th biggest bank in Latvia by assets. Its key indirect shareholder is Yuriy Rodin from Ukraine.
