An iconic Sydney wedding venue is up for grabs for the first time in almost 30 years.
The Macarthur region’s charming Eschol Park House, which has featured in episodes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and held popular bridal events, has hosted countless celebrations over the years.

SECRET SUBURB IN WESTERN SYDNEY ON THE RISE
And it continues to do so, with wedding bookings already in place until the end of 2019.
Expected to smash record prices, the circa 1816 landmark at 14 Eschol Park Drive was bought by vendors Joe and Marija Masina in 1991.
Sons Paul and Joe Masina, who were only 18 and 16 at the time, watched their parents quickly transform the acreage site into the thriving business it functions as today.
“The previous owners, the Townsend family, had a small restaurant there but none of the big wedding rooms existed back then — my father built them from 1993 through to 1996,” Paul Masina said.
“This place holds a lot of special memories for us as a family, as well as for brides and grooms and even some of our staff, who have married here and later held their children’s christenings in these rooms,” Mr Masina said.
Eschol Park House has 1491 sqm of internal floor space and comes with three function rooms — the Garden Room, the Regency Room and the largest of all, the Queen Victoria Ballroom, which can hold up to 180 guests.
Each one looks out to the property’s vast and landscaped gardens, which have been the backdrop for many ceremonies.
Inside, rooms are charming and feature timber floors, high ceilings, fireplaces and bay windows.
With off-street parking for up to 60 cars, the property also comes with a commercial kitchen and bars, as well as storage and cool rooms.
CoreLogic records show the vendors bought the acreage property for $590,000 in 1991, before giving it a major overhaul.
Despite the sale being close to 30 years ago, the price they paid is only $330,000 less than the suburb’s top house price to date.
Mr Masina said the grand estate hosted plenty of memorable celebrations over the years.
“Back in the early days when we had a concrete slab for a roof, we had a bride fly in and land by helicopter — it was wonderful.
“We have had all manner of fireworks go off, we have had politicians attend functions and we have also been asked to be on television shows.”
The property was featured on Blake Garvey’s season of The Bachelor, as well as an episode of The Bachelorette 2016, which saw Georgia Love meet with contestants’ fathers in one of Eschol Park House’s recognisable rooms. It also appeared on a 2013 episode of Don’t Tell the Bride.

These are Sydney’s biggest home bargains
Also featuring a four-bedroom manager’s residence plus a cellar, lock up garage, laundry and an old winery, which has scope for development, the iconic home is scheduled for auction later this month.
Ray White Macarthur Group’s Brendan Lappan said the site was an “extremely rare” offering, which left a lasting impression on visitors.
“The privacy is something that really comes to your attention; it is really secluded and set back from the street,” Mr Lappan said.

“It feels warm and inviting and when you are standing on the veranda looking out over difference landscaped it takes you back to yesteryear — that is why it has been so popular.”
He said there had already been strong buyer interest with several contracts issued, mostly to business people and existing wedding function centre operators.
The historic site is set to go under the hammer on site, on December 20, in what will be a highly anticipated event.
“This will be one of the most significant sales in the Macarthur region for this year,” Mr Lappan said.
