Under the ongoing Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) placement drive which began on Saturday, the highest annual package so far offered to a student is Rs. 1.04 crore for a position in the US.

Varanasi: Under the ongoing Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) placement drive which began on Saturday, the highest annual package so far offered to a student is Rs. 1.04 crore for a position in the US.
According to the IIT-BHU Training and Placement Cell, the placement drive will continue till December 20. This year, a total of 1,151 students have registered themselves for campus selection.
The campus selection process is being done at the Aryabhatta Hostel of the institute in two slots -from 8 am to 3 pm, and from 5 pm to 12 midnight.
A number of top companies are selecting the students by making online test, group discussion and interviewing them. So far 87 companies took part in the campus selection till the first slot interview on Monday.
On the first day of the drive, a student got the job offer of Rs. 1.04 crore annual package for a position in the US. Besides, 264 more students received job offers from 43 companies with packages ranging from Rs 12.15 lakh to Rs. 47 lakh.
On the second day on Sunday, 43 companies gave 111 job offers with packages from Rs. 9.60 lakh to Rs. 32 lakh. By the end of the first slot of selection till 3pm on Monday, as many as 16 companies interviewed the students. Before the placement drive as many as 33 companies had already secured jobs during the internship with 150 students.
So far the companies including Tesco, TCS, Citrix, SRIN, Myntra BDA, Morgan Stanley, Paypal, Fidelity Investments, Oyo Rooms, Flipkart, Times Internet, Edgeverve Servicenow, Bosch, Reliance Jio, Synopsis, Elastic Run, Bny Mellon, Sapient, Veritas, Tata Steel, Citi Pune, Fire Eye, Reliance Jio (SDE), Euler, Mykaarma, Samsung Delhi, Maruti, i3 Network, Mathworks took part in the campus selection.
