VIJAYAWADA: Police took a 12-year-old boy into custody for allegedly sexually abusing a six-year-old girl on Sunday night in Nuzvid.According to Nuzvid Rural police, the accused minor is studying in Class 8 in a local government school and resides at Harijanawada colony of Yanamadala village. The victim is a resident of the same colony.
The shocking incident took place on Saturday afternoon. It was learnt the accused barged into the girl’s house when her parents went outside for work and committed the heinous crime.The accused threatened the victim that if she complained to anyone about the incident, she would have to face dire consequences.
“The girl didn’t inform anyone about the incident on Saturday. But, as her pain increased, she confided in her mother on Sunday. Immediately, the victim was shifted to the Vijayawada Government General Hospital (GGH) for treatment,” said the police.Based on a complaint filed by the girl’s parents, the police registered a complaint against the minor boy under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
