Unitarian Church plans Dec. 24 family service

A Christmas Eve family service will take place at 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Namaqua Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 745 E. Fifth St, Loveland.

The service will include carols, cookies, cocoa and camaraderie with the Rev. Laurel ??, Director of Religious Education Amber Lamb, singers and musicians, and fun and fellowship.

Return to simpler times to come together for stories and song, both serious and fun.

Join the congregation in Parker Hall after the service for cocoa and cookies organized by Namaqua’s Fun & Fellowship ministry coordinated by Linda Lyons.

Cowboy Church plans Christmas event Dec. 22

God’s Country Cowboy Church will hold a Christmas celebration at 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the church at 5505 W. U.S. 34.

The event will include hayrides, caroling, food, stories and music.

Zion Lutheran to host Blue Christmas Worship

Blue Christmas Worship will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Zion Lutheran Church, 815 E. 16th St., Loveland.

Often people find themselves feeling blue during the Christmas season. This season of joy many times intensifies our sadness and loss as well.

Organizers invite all to come you for the worship service on the longest night of the year.

The worship is put together by a variety of different churches throughout Loveland and will give people a time to acknowledge the sadness that is still there, to reflect, and to give light and hope in the dark places. Everyone, regardless of church background (or lack of) is welcome.

St. John’s Catholic Church tells Christmas mass times

The Christmas Mass schedule for St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church starts with Monday, Dec. 24, Masses at 4 p.m. 6 p.m.; 8 p.m. (in Spanish); and 10 p.m. There will not be a midnight Mass.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25, Masses will be held at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The church is located at 1730 W. 12th St. in Loveland.

Church of Hope offers Christmas services

The Lutheran Church of Hope, 2595 N. Monroe Ave., Loveland, will hold special services Dec. 23 and 24.

At 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, the service will feature the famous “Nine Lessons and Carols.”

At 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, the Christmas Eve candlelight service will take place.

Buckhorn Church to hold Christmas Pageant

The Kids Church Christmas Pageant will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Buckhorn Church, 8762 N. County Road 27, Masonville.

Children participating should arrive by 10 a.m.

The annual Nativity play, with costumes supplied by the church, gives families a chance to make the true meaning of Christmas come alive.

A rehearsal will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, for children age 5 and up. Attendance at the rehearsal is not required to participate in the pageant, but is helpful.

Masonville church plans Christmas Eve service

A candlelight Christmas Eve service will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at the Buckhorn Church, 8762 N. County Road 27, Masonville.

The service will feature carols and an inspirational message emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas, Holy Communion, a re-enactment of Christ’s birth, and the candlelight singing of “Silent Night.”

A cookie reception will follow the service.
