Arrest Gopalganj man for objectionable Facebook post against CM : JD(U)
PATNA: JD(U) on Friday demanded immediate arrest of one Dinesh Ray who allegedly made an objectionable post on Facebook against CM Nitish Kumar and his advisor Anjani Kumar Singh.
Ray is a native of Bucheyan village in Goplaganj district. JD(U)’s Sidhwaliya block president Gajendra Pratap Singh has loaged an FIR with the Gopalganj district’s Mohammadpur police station in this connection.
It has been alleged in the FIR that Ray made a very objectionable post on FB against the CM and his advisor.
JD(U) state general secretary and former MLA Manjeet Kumar Singh told TOI on Friday that trouble began on December 23 when some JD(U) workers of Gopalganj district saw the objectionable comments posted on FB by Ray. Angry over the post, when some JD (U) workers inquired about his post from Ray over phone, he replied in offensive manner saying it was his style of making comments. “Ray also challenged the JD(U) workers to do whatever they want to do against him,” Singh alleged.
As the post became viral, hundreds of JD(U) workers led by Singh went to Mohammadpur police station on December 26 and demanded registration of a criminal case against Ray. Consequently, police registered an FIR against under different sections of IPC and Section 66A of the Information Technology Act. However, police are yet to arrest Ray.
