Manoj Sinha on Sunday said Centre has sanctioned a food processing unit in
Ghazipur that follows a slew of multi-crore projects as cold storage facility and cargo terminal for raw and finished farm products set up in the district.
“We are establishing India’s food processing unit in next six months here to develop Purvanchal region of UP.
Centre has already decided to revive urea factory and set up an AIIMs in the neighbouring Gorakhpur,” said Sinha.

Narendra Modi had last week addressed a rally in Ghazipur, that is represented by Sinha in
Lok Sabha.
BJP lawmakers have been dashing to eastern UP districts to launch several projects and hold public addresses in Varanasi, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur and Deoria.
Sinha also announced a direct flight to be operated between Ghazipur and Mumbai, Delhi and Lucknow under Centre’s Udaan scheme.
A railway training institute was made operational in Ghazipur and fastest road-cum-railway bridge to connect UP and Bihar is in progress in Ghazipur.
