The Ayurveda form of treatment is more than 5,000 years old and we can clearly say it has out-lasted every other wellness trend and fad diet.
Prebiotics, probiotics, turmeric balls, tongue scraping, oil pulling, massage, yoga, meditation, intermittent fasting, circadian rhythm, fermentation, herbalism, sprouting and almond milk, all of this is indeed Ayurveda.

Practising Ayurveda successfully doesn’t mean one should adopt all the aforementioned Ayurvedic habits together. And the main problem with people trying to live the Ayurvedic way is that they take it too far. We start taking too much of what we feel is good for us, thereby reversing its effects. After all anything in execss is bad for our health.
Also, we need to understand it’s a dose of medicine, which makes it nectar or poison for us. One has to learn how to create a balance to gain the most from the Ayurvedic science.
Living the Ayurvedic way is not about perfectionism or pushing yourself to do what you don’t want to do. Ayurvedic way of living is about listening to your body and giving it what it actually needs. The basic needs of the body according to the Ayurvedic tradition are sleep, rest and digestion. Creating a balance between all three is the key to a healthy living.
Verdict
Instead of setting up those unachievable goals, one should try to be better and do more. The best you can do for your body is to listen to it.
