CVTC Planning Beekeeping Course in 2019

Chippewa Valley Technical College is offering a continuing education program those new to beekeeping. This one credit, 32-hour course will cover the basics to help honey producers maintain a healthy and productive hive.
Participants will learn about the different types of bees, hives and management techniques. They will also have the opportunity for lab times to work beehives.
All students are required to bring their own or purchase protective equipment and have the option of purchasing a hive and bee colony. The CVTC bee apiary is located at the Energy Education Center.
The courses will be held on Saturdays between February and October.
