The Whole Notes
A few months ago, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) opened a new venue to add more variety to the culture hub. After a successful first edition, the performance space is ready to host its second gig featuring The Whole Notes. The six-member band comprising Sarosh Nanavaty and Naquita D’souza on vocals, Apurv Isaac on guitar, Adil Kurwa on bass, Larissa Cohello on keys and Danesh Khambata on drums is known to perform covers of famous artistes such as Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner. Created by a meteor impact during the Pleistocene Epoch, Lonar Lake is the only known hyper velocity impact crated in basaltic rock in the world. The crater is estimated to be 52,000 years old. At this talk, titled Lonar Impact Crater: Maharashtra as a stepping stone to Mars, Dr Shawn Wright, a research scientist at Planetary Science Institute, USA will discuss what happened in the Lonar region and matters related to Mars geology. MUST ATTEND - The play that goes wrong
Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields of Mischief Theatre Company, The Play That Goes Wrong won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards. In this Indian version of the play-within-aplay, the story follows the members of a fictitious theatre company putting together a production of a popular murder mystery, but it all goes horribly (and hilariously) wrong.
