360 North

Today was the first day of the legislative session and Sarah Vance was officially sworn in as House District 31’s representative.

Lt. Gov. Kevin Meyer swore in House reps. in batches.

“Ok continue now with the oath of office," Meyer said. "Will the following reps. come forward for their oath of office: House District 29 Ben Carpenter, House District 30 Gary Knopp, House District 31 Sarah Vance.”

Vance has yet to receive any committee assignments as there is no clear majority in the House. During community meetings ahead of the session, Vance said she hoped to be appointed to boards related to fisheries and budget sub-committees.

Aaron Bolton has moved on to a new position in Montana; he is no longer KBBI News Director. KBBI is currently seeking a News Director, and Kathleen Gustafson is filling in for the time being.
