We’re not aware Atiku travelled to U.S., say Phrank Shaibu, Paul Ibe

Mr. Paul Ibe and Mr. Phrank Shaibu who are media aides of the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday said they were not aware that Atiku had travelled to the United States.

Some online media have reported that Atiku has travelled to U.S.

But the two aides in separate telephone interviews with our correspondent said they were unaware of such.

Ibe said, “The information is unknown to me. I am not aware of it.”

Shaibu, repsonding in the same vein, said, “I do not know.”

An online medium had reported that Atiku was expected to arrive in Washington, DC on Thursday.

It added that the former vice-president had been scheduled to speak at the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, from 2:30pm to 4pm local time, although it stated that it could not confirm the event.

According to the medium, the private round table event, to be hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce and the US Africa Business Centre, is reportedly going to hold at 1615 H street, NW 20062.
