'Manikarnika' row: Kangana Ranaut warns Karni Sena, says she will destroy them
This Republic Day fans will get to see Kangana Ranaut wage war at the box office and now, outside it as well. According to reports doing the rounds, the fringe outfit, Karni Sena has threatened to damage property if the makers of the historical drama ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ release the film without hosting a screening for them first to seek their approval.
The fringe group have reportedly raised objection against the release of the film by bringing up issues about Rani of Jhansi allegedly having an affair with a British officer and even objected to a scene where the Queen will be seen dancing.
The group that was behind blocking the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in many states, have threatened the “same consequence” if the makers of the film do not oblige their request.
Kangana, who has proved she is not one to back down from a fight, has, in turn, issued a stern warning to the group, saying she will “destroy each one of them”. In a statement to an online portal, the actress was quoted saying that four historians have certified ‘Manikarnika’ and that they have already attained the Censor Board certification, something that the Karni Sena is already aware of. Saying that the group is continuing to harass her, the actress warned that being a Rajput herself, she would destroy them.
'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2019, also features Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai, Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope and Danny Dengzopa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan in the film.
