Subject-wise tips for IBPS Clerk Mains 2018-19 Exam

English language

  • This section requires a good hold on the vocab & grammar rules.
  • In the exam, pick up the questions where you possess a good hold & are also less-time taking.
  • It is always advisable to attempt topics such as Cloze Test, Fillers, Spotting Errors, Vocabulary based questions from RC at first.
  • You can change the sequence of the questions as per your priority.
  • Avoid guess work in this section as negative marking is also there.

Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude

  • This section is highly scoring than other sections.
  • You should attempt the topics such as Syllogism, Coding – Decoding, Number/ Alphanumeric Series as they are less time-consuming.
  • Do not attempt puzzle & seating arrangement questions first, as they are bit confusing & also are time-consuming.

Quantitative Aptitude

  • During your IBPS Clerk Mains exam, try to attempt the following topics first since they are less time consuming -Approximation, Number Series, Data Interpretation (especially Difference, ratio, and average based questions).
  • Make sure you are able to crack the pattern of number series within 40 -45 seconds, if not move on to the next question.
  • Once you are done with the above-mentioned topics, you can move to the arithmetic questions.
  • Use short tricks while attempting the questions. Leave tricky and complex questions to attempt at last.
