BJP to burn effigy of Congress government in all MP districts on Jan 21
BHOPAL: The state BJP on Sunday stepped up its attack on Congress government in the wake of five killings, including murder of two BJP leaders, during the last one week and announced to burn the effigy of Congress government on January 21 in all districts as a mark of protest.
BJP national vice-president and former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that deteriorating law and order situation is a big concern for the saffron party and if the government failed to control such incidents, BJP will come out on the roads in protest.

"Criminals in the state have become active and law and order situation has deteriorated. This is a a major concern for us. The government must arrest the criminals immediately. If such incidents are not taken seriously, BJP will have to come out on the roads", said Chouhan on Sunday.
BJP state president Rakesh Singh said that law and order situation has collapsed in the state and as a mark of protest, BJP in all district headquarters will burn effigy of Congress government on January 21.
Continuing his tirade against the Kamal Nath government, Chouhan said criminals are now fearless and Congress' motto of change turned a farce. "Congress used to talk of Badlav (change) but what change is this? Murders are committed every day. BJP leaders are being killed and criminals are fearless. Law and order has completely collapsed," he said.
The former chief minister's statement came in the wake of a series of killing reported from parts of the state during last seven days. After a daylight murder of a businessman in Indore, two murders of BJP workers, Prahlad Badhwar in
Mandsaur and Manoj Thakre in Barwani, were reported during the last three days apart from two more murders in Mhow and Bhopal the other day. Thakre was killed in Barwani, the home district of state home minister Bala Bachahan on Sunday morning.
However, home minister Bachchan clarified on Sunday that it was internal feud between the BJP leaders which has resulted into the gory crime. State public relations minister, PC Sharma said that BJP leaders were killing each other due to personal rivalry. Allegations levelled by the saffron party against the Congress government were motivated and false.
"Incidents of Mandsaur and Barwani have exposed internal rivalry between the BJP leaders. They are killing each other on personal matters and there is no law and order situation in the state", Sharma told reporters on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders have also attacked Congress minister Govind Singh for his remarks that RSS leaders were involved in training and making explosives, and now disturbing the peace of the state. Former chief minister Chouhan said that the statement by the minister is ridiculous.
"Govind Singh's statement that RSS manufactures bombs and trained others is ridiculous. This exposes the minister's ignorance and the mental weakness of the Congress leaders", said Chouhan.
