Trump: ‘I guess I found a magic wand’ to boost manufacturing jobs
President Trump in a tweet on Monday said he’s found the “magic wand” to create job growth in the manufacturing industry.
“Last year was the best year for American Manufacturing job growth since 1997, or 21 years,” he said.
“The previous administration said manufacturing will not come back to the U.S., ‘you would need a magic wand,’ ” he added.
“I guess I found the MAGIC WAND – and it is only getting better!”

{mosads}His tweet follows the news earlier this month that the manufacturing industry posted net job gains of 284,000 during 2018, its best year since 1997.
By comparison, the industry added 207,000 jobs in 2017.
Shoring up jobs in the manufacturing industry has been a priority of the Trump administration.
Most of the recent gains are in the manufacturing of fabricated metals, and computer and electronic products, according to the Department of Labor.
