North Texas Travelers Prepare for Worst as Government Shutdown Continues

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Many North Texas travelers are preparing for the worst as the partial government shutdown continues.

Officials with TSA say the number of screeners calling in sick has reached 10%, but don’t believe security for travelers is at risk.

Many travelers say they are cautious, but thankful, One women telling our news department, “We did allow time, in case we were to be delayed,” and another saying, “Everyone was very appreciative and thankful of them working under the circumstances that’s going on now.

TSA says the national average waiting time in airport security lines is within 30 minutes, but there are longer lines at some airports.
