1-10 reopens following Milton truck crash (MAP)

Update: 9:30 a.m.

MILTON — The westbound lanes of I-10 near mile marker 26 have reopened following an 18-wheeler crash Tuesday morning.

Keith Andre Washington, 54 of Mobile, Alabama, received serious injuries after his International box truck drifted into the right lane of 1-10 and hit the left rear of a Freightliner truck at 5:36 a.m., according to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol.

The second vehicle, driven by 45-year-old Luis Felipe Zuniga-Lopez of West Palm Beach, came to a stop just west of the collision. Washington's truck stopped in the center of the westbound lanes.

The initial report was unclear whether Washington was taken to the hospital for his injuries. Zuniga-Lopez and his passenger were uninjured.

Traffic was diverted to the nearest exit for about four hours while the crash was cleared.
