Pulkit Arora, who ranked third in the ICAI new course exams told TOI, "I never expected a rank. On the contrary I was praying hard to pass these exams." Arora had topped BCom exams from the Scottish College, Kolkata. He had taken coaching and studied for 14 hours a day. "The new course is lengthy and one needs to plan better," he said.
However, Ankit Jain, all India rank 22 said, "Frankly I studied for three hours a day. Since I did not practice writing I could not complete questions worth 20 marks." Pooja Shah, all India rank 26, says, "I will work for a few years then leave for higher studies to study law or an MBA."
Meet Lakhani from Veraval who ranked 30 in the old course said that he had shifted to Ahmedabad for preparations. "I had wished that I come within the first 50 rankers and that has been fulfilled. I wish to pursue my career now."
