Karnataka: Minister's foul remark leaves Tumakuru SP Divya Gopinath in tears

Divya V Gopinath, Tumakuru superintendent of police, was reduced to tears after Mahesh abused her and called her 'bloody lady’ for not allowing him and his two cabinet colleagues to enter the building where the final rituals of Siddaganga Mutt seer Shivakumara Swami were being performed. The video showing tourism minister Sa Ra Mahesh allegedly behaving crudely with the woman IPS officer during the funeral of Siddaganga Mutt seer Shivakumara Swami was widely shared. Mahesh, however, denied that he abused the officer. And he refused to tender an apology.
