Work more, talk less, Nizamabad MP advises Priyanka Gandhi
HYDERABAD: Nizamabad MP Kavitha Kalvakuntla has one piece of advice for Priyanka Gandhi. “Baath Karna chodo do, kaam karna shuru karo (Stop talking and start talking),” she said answering a question during a twitter Q&A with the public. “Whether it is Priyanka or Rahul, they should work instead of just making promises,” he said.
In response to a question on what she thinks of Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into politics, Kavitha commented that Priyanka had been doing ‘guest roles’ so far, having campaigning for her mother and brother in the previous elections.

“Now, I hope she is decisive about her permanent role. As a woman her entry into politics is welcome but what matters is if she will deliver on the promises that she will make,” she said.
Kavitha pointed out that Congress president Rahul Gandhi had promised minimum wage guarantee and this should be fulfilled. “But we have seen right from Indira Gandhi to Rahul Gandhi, only promises were made,” she said.
Kavitha said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had disappointed Telangana and had done nothing out of the way for the benefit of the state. About the Federal Front, she said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would play a decisive role at the centre in the Lok Sabha elections. “Modi’s graph is going down and Rahul Gandhi’s graph is not rising. So it is the Federal Front which will play a crucial role at the centre,” she said.
The MP said the MPLAD funds should be increased from the present Rs 5 cr to Rs 25 crore so that MPs could do more work. “I am an MP who has visited all villages and people like me need such funds to meet the needs of the people,” she said.

To a question on AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s criticism of TRS working president K T Rama Rao meeting YSRCP leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Kavitha said it should not bother Chandrababu Naidu who KCR decides to work together with.
“At the national level, the TRS will certainly work together with the YSRCP. KTR will continue to meet YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Ultimately, it is the people will decide on what is right or wrong. It should not bother Naidu,” she said.
“I’m a Chiranjeevi fan,” Kavitha said in response to a question on whether she was awaiting the release of the megastar’s next film “Syra”.
“Switch off notifications on your mobile phone. It should not be a distraction. Concentrate on work that needs to be done,” she said when asked what advice she would give to youth.
About workers being deceived by agents and sent to the gulf, Kavitha said she had represented to the commissioner of Police, Nizamabad to take action against those who had deceived the workers from Nizamabad, who were sent to the gulf.
“Those who we brought back today are giving the details of the agents. Action should be taken against the agents by booking them for cheating,” she said.
