UP: Amit Shah to address booth presidents in Etah on Feb 6
AGRA: BJP President Amit Shah will address party’s booth level presidents in Etah’s exhibition ground on February 6.
Braj region BJP leaders have started preparations for the mega event where over 26,000 booth presidents are expected to attend the meeting along with MPs, MLAs and district office bearers.
Shah’s strategy is to focus on the booths has become significant after the alliance of SP-BSP and entry of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra into active politics to strengthen her party.
In 2014, BJP swept 71 of the state’s 80 seats, one fourth of its nationwide total tally of 282. However, Congress won only two, SP five and BSP none.
General Secretary of state BJP unit, Govind Narain Shukla said that Uttar Pardesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, state election in-charge JP Nadda, party’s state president, Mahendra Nath Pandey and other leaders will be present at the event.
He said that the party has already given a slogan- “Mera booth sabre majboot” and this is what to be adhered to as elections draw near.
Addressing booth level party workers in Lucknow and Kanpur, Shah had said that only Modi can provide a strong government and claimed that alliance of SP-BSP was based on casteism and corruption. He also reiterated the party’s commitment to construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
