Now, SpiceJet flights from Vijayawada, Tirupati to Bengaluru, Kochi

HYDERABAD: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Thursday said it has launched new direct flights connecting Vijayawada and Tirupati to Bengaluru and Kochi as well as flights between the two AP cities.
These new flights are part of eight new domestic flights that are being launched by the airline in South India with a frequency of six days a week, except Tuesday, with effect from March 1, 2019.
SpiceJet will be starting direct return flights on the Kochi-Tirupati route, a new direct return flight on the Vijayawada-Tirupati route and enhanced frequencies on the Vijayawada-Bengaluru routes.
While flight number SG 1073 will depart from Vijayawada at 1.05pm and reach Bengaluru at 2.25pm, on the return journey flight SG 1074 will depart from Bengaluru at 3.05pm and arrive at Vijayawada at 4.30pm.
The flight number SG 1075 will take off from Vijayawada at 5pm and arrive at Tirupati at 6.05pm and flight number SG 1072 will depart Tirupati at 11.10am to land at Vijayawada at 12.25pm.
The flight number SG 1072 from Kochi will depart at 9.10am and arrive at Vijayawada at 10.40am and flight number SG 1075 will depart from Tirupati at 6.25pm to land at Kochi at 7.40pm.
Commenting on the launch, Shilpa Bhatia, chief sales and revenue officer, SpiceJet, said, “Our new flights will help augment air-connectivity and increase movement in South India. We believe there is tremendous potential in this region and better connectivity will facilitate trade and industry development besides providing enhanced travel options and convenience.”
SpiceJet said that it will deploy its Bombardier Q400s on all these routes.
