NEW DELHI: The Environment Pollution (Prevention & Control) Authority (EPCA) chairman, Bhure Lal, on Thursday asked the authorities concerned to remove garbage and construction debris from the Shahdara drain in east Delhi.
"The Shahdara drain section in Patparganj has a horrible stench and is strewn with all kinds of garbage. There is no water flowing there. I have asked the department concerned to remove the debris and the huge mountain of plastic waste," Lal told TOI.

Lal asked the authorities to clean Bridge nahar, a drain in Sahibabad, and "remove all the stinking debris". The EPCA chief, who was visiting the pollution hotspots - Anand Vihar and Kaushambi - however, expressed happiness over the work done by different agencies at these places.
