BELAGAVI: Various social, industrial and professional organizations of Belagavi have decided to take up the issue of proposed VTU bifurcation and launch a campaign under tagline ‘If divided VTU, divide the state’.
In a first preparatory meeting at Foundry Cluster Hall here on Monday under leadership of Ram Bhandare, chairman of
Belgaum Foundry Cluster, it was decided to approach all ministers, MLAs and MLCs of
North Karnataka within the next couple of days to seek their support.
The meeting decided to call for a Belagavi
bandh on Saturday with support of students of all engineering colleges, besides others from all walks of life. Representatives of various colleges and different forums will meet on Tuesday. A delegation of representatives of various forums and prominent seers of North Karnataka will meet governor Vajubhai Vala and
CM HD Kumaraswamy within four days.
