Vidya Balan says she was 'blown away' by Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'

Kangana Ranaut marked her directorial debut with the period drama ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. The star, who also played the lead in the film, has been winning applause from fans, movie buffs and even critics for bringing this story about the brave Indian warrior Queen to the big screen.
Just over a week after the actress condemned Bollywood for keeping mum about her film that is currently on its way to the 100-crore club, actors like Anupam Kher and Tanushree Dutta, came out in support of the actress and the film.Another actress to laud Kangana and her team for the visual masterpiece was Vidya Balan, who admitted that she was “blown away” by the film.
At an event, Vidya extended her congratulations to team ‘Manikarnika’ and said that the war sequences were among the best she had seen in any Indian film. The star also admitted she was blown away by the sheer amount to hard work that went into making the historical drama.
Meanwhile, the film has crossed the Rs 85-crore mark and is slowly inching closer to the coveted box office milestone.
