Road robbers kill one in Nalanda

BIHARSHARIF: Road robbers shot dead a man near Kundalpur under Nalanda police station area on Wednesday night after the victim refused to part with his cellphone.
Biharsharif Sadar SDPO Imran Perwez said the victim was identified as Gulshan Kumar, a resident of Korai village under Deepnagar police station area by miscreants on Wednesday night near Kundalpur under Nalanda police station area after he refused to part with his cellphone.The police officer said the victim, who worked in a catering company, was going to Begumpur village with a colleague to deliver a coffee vending machine at a marriage function when suddenly they were stopped by the miscreants near Kundalpur.
The victim, who was riding the bike and his colleague, who was holding the vending machine handed their wallets to them. But when the deceased refused to part with his cellphone one of them shot at his hand but the bullet pierced into his chest killing him on the spot.
Meanwhile, the Biharsharif police on Thursday arrested three minors— Imran alias Mona, Sabir and an intermediate examinee Altamash for allegedly killing their friend Jitendra Kumar on February 9.
According to police sources, one Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Chowk Bazaar locality under Biharsharif Town police station area was found unconscious with his neck slit at Pulpar locality under the same police station area in the morning on February 9. The critically injured victim succumbed to his injuries during treatment at PMCH the same day.
He said on the basis of CCTV footage and scientific investigation, police arrested one Imran alias Mona (18), from Kharadi locality and his two accomplices Sabir (17), and Altamash (17), from the same locality under Biharsharif Town police station area. The SDPO said that Imran slit the deceased’s neck with a blade after he had consumed liquor which the deceased had in possession. It was Sabir who had called to meet him on February 8 night.
