Through March 30, community members can view works of local builders, artists and inventors at the Boulder Public Library’s Maker Made exhibit.

The exhibit, which opened this week, is billed as a “celebration of diverse and inspiring crafts showcasing do it yourself-related work, open-source learning, new technology and design thinking.”

Among the highlights mentioned in Thursday news release are a “prosthetic hand to be used by a child in Ecuador in the spring, a replica of a Sugar Island canoe and paddle, a plywood guitar with an amplifying horn, wooden cupcake carriers and a drivable ‘Electric Cupcake.'”

The Makers Made show is being held at the Boulder Public Library’s main branch, 1000 Canyon Blvd., in collaboration with the library’s BLDG 61 makerspace. The BLDG 61 makerspace is a free community workshop that provides maker education and technology to the public in a creative and inclusive environment. The workshop features 3-D printers, laser cutters and engravers, a full-scope wood shop, textile arts, electronic and more.
