Aditya Dhar, director of Uri: The Surgical Strike, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. At least 40 soldiers were martyred in what is being called the deadliest terror attack on our security forces in decades.

"It's truly heartbreaking!! I don't know why after Uri, all this feels even more personal now! Feels like I lost my brothers," Dhar told an entertainment website about the dastardly attack.

"I think the government should take whatever action they deem fit to make sure they stop these horrible acts once for all," the filmmaker said, adding that India should completely isolate Pakistan. "After this horrific, cowardly incident, they should completely cut all the ties and truly isolate them!" he said.

Meanwhile, Mohit Raina, who made his big screen debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike, had also denounced the attack. "Jo hua hai, that was very, very sad. Bekasur jawaan humare jo apne chhuttiyaan bitaane ke baad wapas Kashmir jaa rahe the, unke saath aisa haadsa hua hai. Bohot dukhad, nindaniya hai yeh," he said.

"Whatever the government and the defence personnel have to do, they will do the needful. This is not right. This is really, really sad," the actor told reporters at an event on Thursday night.

Adil Ahmad Dar, the terrorist behind the attack, rammed his SUV containing 350 kg of explosives into a security convoy of 78 vehicles on Thursday afternoon. Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.
