ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Authorities say a couple were found stabbed to death in a New Jersey home and their son is now in custody in connection to the double homicide, police said.

The couple’s son was arraigned in connection to their death.

Chief Lawrence Suffern of the Englewood police department told the North Jersey Record that officers were called to the house Saturday morning and found Edward Boduch, 71, and his wife Miroslawa Potocka, 72, with stab wounds.

“There is no public threat at this time,” Suffern said.

Police said a black Honda belonging to Boduch was found in a Shop Rite parking lot.

Police were searching for the couple’s son for hours before he was apprehended, though it was not immediately known where he was found.

Suffern said one of the couple’s two sons asked police to check on the house. He said he wasn’t aware of any prior calls there.
