Around 100 teams from the tribal mandals of Araku, Dumbriguda and Anantagiri participated in the Yuvaho Mega Volleyball Tournament, being organised by the District Police, as part of community policing, at Dumbriguda village during the past two days.

In the final match held on Monday, the Araku team (Gangudi village) bagged the first place, followed by the Dumbriguda team (Pedapadu village) and Dumbriguda team (Kandrum village) bagged the second and third places respectively. The winners were given ₹30,000 as cash prize and the second and third prize winners were given ₹20,000 and ₹10,000 respectively.

OSD, Visakhapatnam district, B. Krishna Rao, gave away the cash prizes, mementoes and T-shirts to the winners and volleyball kits to the winning teams.

Paderu DSP VB Rajkamal and other police officers participated.
