Bio-data of New Ministers

Hyderabad: The following are the bio-data of the New Ministers sworn-n today:

Allola Indrakaran Reddy: Indrakaran Reddy was elected as MLA from Nirmal constituency during the 2018 Assembly elections. During the previous term, he represented the same constituency of Nirmal on behalf of Bahujan Samajwadi Party. However, he joined TRS for development of the constituency and was soon inducted into the State Cabinet as Minister for Housing, Law and Endowments. He served for twice as member of Lok Sabha and was elected four times as MLA including two times each for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Legislative Assemblies respectively.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav: One of the senior most Ministers in the new Cabinet, Srinivas Yadav won as MLA for five times. He served as a Minister earlier during 1995-99 and 2001-03. He was also a Minister in the first Cabinet of the Telangana government where he was a Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cinematography. He was instrumental in successful implementation of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s brainchild like sheep distribution and fish distribution. He represents Sanatnagar constituency in Hyderabad city.

G Jagadish Reddy: Jagadish Reddy was elected to the Telangana State Legislative Assembly twice from Suryapet constituency. He was one of the founding members of TRS during the separate Telangana movement and worked along with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He served in various capacities in TRS party over a period of 13 years before he was made a politburo member in 2013. He was inducted into the State Cabinet after getting elected to the first Telangana Assembly. He was the first Education Minister of the State and was later appointed as Minister for Power where he aided the Chief Minister in successful implementation of uninterrupted power supply programme of the State government

Etela Rajender: A six-time MLA, Rajender was one of the founding members of TRS and was one of the strong and active leaders in the separate Telangana movement. He also served as TRS Legislative Party floor leader in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly during 2008-14 and led the TRS MLAs to voice the issues pertaining to Telangana region in the AP Assembly. After getting elected in the 2014 elections, he was inducted into the State Cabinet and was appointed as Finance Minister. The Chief Minister is said to have opted for Rajender in the Cabinet considering his strength in State financial management.

S Niranjan Reddy: Singireddy Niranjan Reddy is another founding member of TRS who walked along with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao through thick and thin. He is said to be a close aide and one of those a few party members who helped the Chief Minister in devising new welfare and development schemes in the previous government. He also served as the vice chairman of the Telangana State Planning Board. Earlier, he served as the president of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society. He has been inducted into the Cabinet after he won for the first time as a MLA from Wanaparthy constituency.

Koppula Eshwar: Another senior leader in TRS and six-time MLA, Eshwar has strong roots in Dharmapuri constituency since the separate statehood movement days. He is also a well-known BC leader from erstwhile Karimnagar district. A former employee of Singareni Collieries Company Limited for about two and half decades, he started his political career in 1981. He served as Government Chief Whip in the first Telangana State Assembly during 2014-18.

Errabelli Dayakar Rao : One of the senior most leaders from erstwhile Warangal district, Dayakar Rao was elected as a MLA for six-times and he also served as a Parliament member for a brief stint (2008 bypolls). He has been into active politics since his college days and started his political career with TDP before he went on to become one of the top leaders from TDP in Telangana region of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. He was one of a few leader from TDP who fought in favour of separate Telangana movement, despite a strong Andhra leadership within the party. After getting elected from Palakurthi constituency to the Assembly in 2014, he along with other TDP MLAs merged the Telugu Desam Legislative Party in TRSLP in 2016. He served as Government Whip in TDP government from 1999-2003.

V Srinivas Goud: Srinivas Goud played crucial role in uniting the government employees of Telangana region of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh during the separate Telangana movement. He has been inducted into the State Cabinet after getting elected from Mahbubnagar constituency for second consecutive term. He served as the Chairman of Telangana Gazetted Officers Association during separate statehood movement. During his stint as a government employee, he served as commissioner for several municipalities in erstwhile Ranga Reddy district.

Vemula Prashanth Reddy: A two-time MLA from Balkonda constituency, Prashanth Reddy was appointed as the vice chairman of Mission Bhagiratha in the first Telangana government. His was instrumental in successful implementation of Mission Bhagiratha programme which is expected to commence operation within next a couple of months. He was one of the active leaders of TRS during the separate statehood agitation from erstwhile Nizamabad district. He is also one of the highly educated Ministers in the Cabinet with a degree in Bachelor of Engineering.

Ch Malla Reddy: A well-known educationist, Malla Reddy heads the Malla Reddy Group of Educational Institutions. He served as Parliament member from Malkajgiri constituency during 2014-18. However, he contested from Medchal Assembly constituency during 2018 elections following the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He plunged into politics during the seperate Telangana movement and was instrumental in taking the movement closer to the people in erstwhile Ranga Reddy district.
