Kiosks selling CBD products will open later this year at the Auburn Mall and Solomon Pond Mall under a deal between the malls’ owner and Green Growth Brands Inc.

The openings will be part of a broad push by Simon Property Group Inc. and Green Growth Brands to bring shops to 108 Simon malls across the country.

“The kiosks will be operated by the Seventh Sense brand and will only sell CBD-infused lotions and personal care products,” said Chris Bastien, area mall manager for Simon. “We anticipate that the kiosks at both Auburn Mall and Solomon Pond Mall will be open by the end of the third quarter.”

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating chemical found in marijuana. Prescription CBD is used as an oil to treat epilepsy.

No other medical claims have been proven, but that hasn’t stopped CBD from popping up in foods, drinks and beauty products.

Green Growth Brands is based in Columbus, Ohio, and sells foot and hand creams, body lotions, lip balm and bath salts under the Seventh Sense brand. The company’s stock is traded on the Canadian Stock Exchange.

Simon is based in Indianapolis. Under their deal, Green Growth Brands issued $2.2 million in common stock shares and 1 million warrants to purchase common stock to Simon Canada Management Ltd., Green Growth Brands reported.
