For Legoland Florida Resort visitors looking to make the most of their trip to the Winter Haven attraction (or for passholders looking to see something new), the park’s VIP experiences offer front-of-the-line ride access, a chance to explore the Master Model Builder Workshop and more.
Chloe Boehm, a spokesperson for Legoland Florida Resort, said the VIP packages are the perfect way to enhance a day at Legoland.
“Everything is awesome when you come to Legoland,” she said. “Well, a VIP experience is just going to make it even more awesome to get the most out of your day.”
Tours meet in the lobby at Legoland Hotel, where guides hand guests lanyards (that show everyone how important you are as well as give a 10 percent discount) and minifigures, which can be traded throughout the day with employees or at most stores inside the park.
Pro tip: I recommend visiting Vern at Minifigure Market. He has a plethora of figures as well as accessories up for a swap.
Legoland’s VIP tours are open to both hotel and park guests and are offered in three tiers: Red, Silver and Gold Brick VIP Experiences. At least two people must sign up.
These private, personalized tours include admission to the park, front-of-the-line access to rides and reserved seating for Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty: A Pirates’ Cove Ski Adventure.
But the most interesting part of the excursion is going inside the Master Model Builder Workshop at the hotel — which can only be accessed through these tours or Make-A-Wish.
Luke Phillips, a Legoland Florida master model builder, said families get to spend time with the builders during their tours.
“When they come into the shop here, they get to see the behind-the-scenes, some of the secret models that we’re working as well as unique stuff we’ve had at the park, ” he said.
Red and silver VIP guests get about 10 minutes to wander the room and ask questions, but gold VIPs get a more in-depth encounter that lasts about an hour and includes assembling a model — that can only be made at Legoland Florida and cannot be bought in stores — with a builder.
Phillips also shared a tidbit that guests can utilize Lego Digital Designer to design models seen in the workshop at home.
Did you know Coastersaurus is the only original ride from Cypress Gardens? That’s just one of the fun facts Legoland VIP tour guides will share while walking through the park.
The red experience costs $300 per person and lasts about four hours. The silver experience costs $500 per person, lasts about seven hours and includes two snacks and a refillable drink cup. The gold package costs $700 per person, takes about seven hours and includes lunch, unlimited snacks, a refillable drink cup and a backpack filled with Lego goodies. The silver and gold packages also include photos. Tours are free for kids under age 3. Legoland passholders get a $50 discount on these tours.
The VIP experiences take place during Legoland Florida’s normal operating hours at 1 Legoland Way in Winter Haven. For more information, call 855-753-7777 or visit legoland.com.
