Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed she will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame.
The Oscar-winning actress revealed to Variety that the latest Avengers film will be her final appearance as Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's love interest and CEO of Stark Industries.
The 46-year-old has played the role since the first Iron Man film in 2008 and has appeared in six films prior to Endgame, alongside Robert Downey Jr.
"I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point," said Paltrow, "I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friends with [Iron Man director] director] Jon Favreau."
But she hasn't ruled out a return to the franchise in the future, as long as it's a fleeting visit.
"Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me."
Potts is thought to play a larger role in Avengers: Endgame with the actress having been seen suited up in a motion-capture suit, suggesting she may be taking on her character's comic alter-ego of RESCUE in the film.
We last saw the blonde character in Avengers: Infinity War when Iron Man left her to fight Thanos, straight after suggesting they have a child called Morgan together, following a dream he had.
And Paltrow may have spoiled the surprise for us, according to a Mirror Online article from last May, she said: "Pepper and Tony have had a really long journey together.
"She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they're married, and they have a child.
"Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve."
She may have also given us a clue there about her other half's fate too.
The first Avengers: Endgame trailer showed Iron Man in a bit of a fix, where he was stuck in space with not a lot of oxygen left and fans were worried he wouldn't survive.
But there's Paltrow saying "decades later they're married" with a child.
That's nicely accompanied by a a video from Audi USA where Robert Downey Jr revealed he drives the new Audi e-tron GT concept car "as Tony Stark in Avengers 4" - and I'm pretty sure he doesn't drive it in space!
If that isn't enough, we've had a sneak peek of some of the main characters' suits including Captain America, Hulk and Black Widow - and Iron Man has a matching one too.
Fans have nicknamed their outfits as the 'Quantum suits' - that's because they share a similar look to the Quantum Realm costumes used in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
This all leads nicely to the popular theory that the Avengers will use time vortexes, like those used in Ant-Man and the Wasp to reverse the decimation caused by Thanos' snap.
That would explain how Potts and Stark are married with a kid decades later!
Luckily there's not long left to find out!
Avengers: Endgame is coming to UK cinemas April 26, 2019.
