HYDERABAD: A 48-year-old Hyderabadi was shot dead by a masked intruder during a robbery bid at his workplace at Pensacola in Florida on Tuesday night. The victim, K Govardhan Reddy, was from Uppal in the city. Local cops later arrested 3 suspects — 2 men and a woman — for the killing.
On Tuesday night, Govardhan, a clerk at a fuel station-cum-super market at Mobile Highway in Pensacola, was preparing to wind up for the day when a masked man walked up to him, opened fire and fled from the location.
The Hyderabadi, who was alone at the store, died on the spot due to a bullet injury. He had gone to the US about five years ago.

Three Accused
“As per information received from relatives of Govardhan’s family in the US, the accused came with his face covered and killed him,’’ Govardhan’s friend Ramesh, who is based in Hyderabad, said.
Arrested suspects booked for murder and conspiracy against city man shot in US
Govardhan, who went to the United States for better employment opportunities, has been living alone, while his wife and two daughters — elder one in class 10 and the younger one in class7 — were residing in the city.
Two hours after the incident, the family came to know about it around 11am (IST) on Wednesday.
“Till now, none from the US or Indian authorities contacted us to share details about the incident. We need help from the government,” a family member said.
Of the three suspects, one has been booked for murder, while the woman has been booked for conspiracy.
