Statue of Liberty climber arrested again for Texas stunt

The woman who scaled the Statue of Liberty on the Fourth of July last year in protest of US immigration policies was arrested on Wednesday after climbing a building in Texas.

Therese Patricia Okoumou scaled a four-story building in Austin that houses a nonprofit center for undocumented immigrant kids, according to Austin police.

She then unfurled a banner reading “Abolish ICE” before climbing down hours later.

Okoumou was taken to a hospital for evaluation pending charges.

In December, Okoumou was found guilty of interfering with government functions for scaling Lady Liberty. She is set to be sentenced on March 5.

In Paris in November, she scaled the Eiffel Tower in another protest.
