‘Nagged’ to study, 3 Palghar boys flee home

MUMBAI: Two days after three boys, two of them are cousins, went missing from their homes in Saphale in Palghar, they were found at CSMT on Friday and reunited with their families. The boys aged 13, 16 and 17 told the police that they were “fed up of studies and the constant nagging by their parents”.
The boys had left their homes on Wednesday afternoon to attend tuitions.
Missing person’s complaints were lodged on Thursday.
Messages were sent out across the region. On Friday morning, the railway police at CSMT alerted the Saphale police station about the teens being at the terminus.
The boys told the police that their parents constantly nagged them to study. They pinched some cash from home and took a train from Saphale. They roamed around Borivli station and spent Wednesday night at Dadar. They slept at CSMT on Thursday night. Both days, they survived on vada pavfor which they spent Rs 500. The police counselled the boys and their parents.
