HAWLEY-Jake Andres, Reese Kapsner and Carson Huls of Pierz all advanced to the championship match of their respective weight classes after Day One of the Section 8-2A Individual Tournament Friday, Feb. 22.
The Pioneers Brandon Funk also advanced to the semifinal match.
The Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Road Crew placed seven wrestlers through to the semifinals with Caleb Ruhl, Evan Koering, Connor Tulenchik, Jake Poehler, Tim Ryan, Keenan Dahl, and Josh Pettit working their way into Day Two.
