Army Captain kills self in Vasant Vihar

NEW DELHI: A 47-year-old Army Captain allegedly committed suicide at his house in southwest Delhi's Vasant Vihar on Friday. A suicide note was also recovered by the cops.
DCP (southwest) Devender Arya said that an inquest proceeding under Section 174 of the CrPC has been initiated. Captain Jayantha Kumar M was posted with the central base post office in Vasant Vihar.
A preliminary probe into the incident has revealed that the victim lived alone in a government accommodation and his body was found by his colleagues at 1am.His body was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said a handwritten note in his room indicated official problems as the reason behind the step. Teams are probing the family members and colleagues to get more details about the death, and are also analysing the note.
