Tension prevailed in Aligarh after five persons were allegedly assaulted by a group of people from another community in Baraula Jafrabad area following an argument over parking of vehicles on a road on Wednesday.

AGRA: Tension prevailed in Aligarh after five persons were allegedly assaulted by a group of people from another community in Baraula Jafrabad area following an argument over parking of vehicles on a road on Wednesday.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4:30pm, when Yogendra Singh Lodhi, along with his brothers, were returning home from their field in an e-rickshaw. Lodhi was unable to enter the area as it was blocked by some parked vehicles.
When he asked that the vehicle should be removed, people from the other community allegedly started abusing him.

Yogendra told media that around 30-35 people gathered there and started raising slogans “Pakistan Zindabad” and resorted to stone pelting. They allegedly attacked Yogendra and his brothers Rameshwar and Raj Kumar with sticks. When some people came for their rescue, the mob allegedly attacked them too.
Police said that five injured people, Yogendra, Rameshawar, Raj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar and Naresh were admitted at Malkhan Singh District hospital. A case has been registered against 13 people including Shahrukh, Amzad, Naseem and others under sections 147 (rioting), 307 (attempt to murder), 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) on the basis of a complaint filed by Yogendra.
